Reviewer's Guidelines

Reviewer Guidelines for the Graduate Journal on OJS

  1. Logging into the journal website https://jpr.vyomhansjournals.com/index.php/gjir/login
    • Use your assigned credentials to access the journal management system. 
    • Navigate to the "Reviewer" section on your dashboard.
  2. Reviewer Dashboard:
    • Find the list of assigned article(s) for review.
    • Click on the article title to access review details.
  3. Familiarize with the Manuscript:
    • Check title, abstract, keywords, and other related information. For any discrepancy ask the editor to clarify the same. 
    • Check also introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
  4. Assess the Manuscript:
    • Evaluate clarity and coherence.
    • Assess research design, methodology, and analysis. Consider originality, significance, ethics, and referencing.
  5. Provide Constructive Feedback:
    • Use OJS review form for detailed feedback of each section. 
    • Clearly articulate comments on strengths and weaknesses. Suggest improvements and revisions.
  6. Confidentiality and Objectivity:
    • Maintain confidentiality, don't share your opinions directly with the author, colleagues and on any social or academic platforms. 
    • Avoid personal biases, focus on scholarly merit. Use scientific language to give your feedback. 
  7. Submission of Review:
    • Complete the review form within the timeframe.
    • If unable to meet the deadline, inform the editorial office and ask for the days you require.
  8. Recommendations:
    • Recommend acceptance, revision, major revision, or rejection on the platform.
    •  Justify your recommendation clearly.
  9. Additional Comments to Editors:
    • Include confidential comments to editors under the given section on the review form.
  10. Acknowledge Conflicts of Interest:
    • Disclose any conflicts of interest if there is any, e.g., the author is from your lab, department, collaborator, friend, etc.
