The study of foF2 on low latitude over Cocos Island during the inclining phase of 25 solar cycle

This paper presents the variability of foF2 during 2023 at Cocos Island (12° 11′ 13′′ S, 96° 49′ 42′′ E) at a low-latitude station. A statistical analysis was performed on the foF2 data collected at Cocos Island during the 25 solar cycle's inclining phase. We have examined the diurnal, monthly, and seasonal variations. The database contains measurements obtained throughout several seasons. In the present study, we investigated the daily, monthly, and seasonal variations using hourly values of foF2. According to the diurnal result, foF2 progressively drops from 15:00 (LT) to 23:00 (LT) and then rises from 06:00 (LT) to 15:00 (LT). Peak height values increase throughout the day and fall at night. The variations in foF2 are greatest during the Equinox and lowest during the summer. July exhibits the lowest variance in foF2, while October exhibits the greatest variation.
